How do I change my Gmail profile picture on my computer?

1. Open Gmail. In the upper corner of the screen, click on the image icon – if you already have a photo, tap it. And then click on the camera icon next to the photo;

2. Click on "Select a photo from computer" and upload the new image that will be used. You can also access the "Your photos" tab, if the image has already been used in the email, as it is stored in the account's database;

3. Next, crop the photo so that it fits in the space of the profile picture. Then click on "Set as profile picture" and that's it, your new image will be configured.

Important! There is another way to access the profile picture settings. Just click on the gears icon in the right corner of the screen >> "See all settings" >> scroll to the topic "My photo".

In this step, two possible options will appear: (1) if you already have a picture in your profile, you must click on "About me" to modify the photo, as shown in the image below.

(2) If you have never added an image to your profile, the option that will appear is "Choose a photo" instead of "About Me". Just click on it to add your first picture to your profile.

In both options, you will have access not only to the settings for changing the photo, but also to other basic information of your profile such as name, date of birth, contact information and professional history.

How can I change my Gmail profile picture on mobile?

1. Open the Gmail app. Click on your photo at the top of the screen and then on the camera icon;

2. Then tap "Change" to add a new photo. You can decide between "Take photo" and "Choose from photos", which takes you to your photo gallery;

3. After choosing the image, frame and tap "Choose". The profile will be updated and then just leave the tab by clicking on the "X" at the top left of the screen.
